Part II Architectural Assistant
Ed Oldridge
BA (Hons) MArch
Ed has a particular interest in contextual architecture, visual communication and the relationship between buildings, landscape and place.
Prior to joining the practice, he worked at Stephen Taylor Architects where he contributed to a number of residential and housing-led projects, including the redevelopment of the De Beauvoir Estate in Hackney and a series of infill housing proposals for the Royal Borough of Greenwich. His work focused on the preparation of architectural visualisations, drawings and design studies to support planning submissions and stakeholder engagement.
Alongside this, Ed was involved in the ongoing restoration and documentation of Le Moulin de Croisance in southern France, helping to record and catalogue a collection of historic vernacular buildings through detailed surveying, photography and hand-drawn architectural studies.
Originally from York, Ed developed an early interest in design, graphics and photography before studying architecture at Northumbria University. His academic work explored the relationship between ecology, landscape and the built environment, while his experience documenting historic buildings in France fostered a lasting interest in vernacular architecture and craftsmanship. These interests continue to inform his thoughtful and context-driven approach to design.
