Sarah Coogan
BSc(Hons) MArch ARB
Sarah joined Goldstein Heather in February 2026 as a qualified Architect, bringing experience across large-scale residential and mixed-use projects from planning through to construction.
Prior to joining the practice, she worked at Fletcher Joseph in Edinburgh where she played a key role in the delivery of an 836-bed student accommodation scheme in Birmingham, contributing across RIBA Stages 2–5 under a Design and Build procurement route. Her experience spans complex new-build projects and sensitive listed building refurbishments, including the residential conversion of the former Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh.
Sarah combines strong technical coordination with a thoughtful design approach. She has extensive experience preparing detailed Stage 3–5 information, coordinating consultant teams and navigating projects through planning and construction.
She studied at University College Dublin and Newcastle University, graduating with Distinction in her Postgraduate Diploma in Architectural Practice and Management. Her academic work focused on housing, urban retrofit and community-led design, themes which continue to inform her approach in practice.
