We are currently preparing designs for additions to a West London townhouse. The client owns the end of terrace house - although substantial already, the footprint of the dwelling is quite narrow and constrained. Our proposals, taking full advantage of the unexpected availability of the next door building, will both open up a generous lateral floorplate for cooking, eating, dining and entertaining, as well as providing a more satisfying contemporary architectural terminus to the existing, abrupt flank wall. The new work would replace a dumpy and unattractive building with an extension that sets up an elegant dialogue with the Victorian terrace, making an integrated dwelling of 500 sqm/ 5380 sq ft in total.

Consent was granted in September 2022 from the London Borough of Hounslow. Construction is expected to commence in late Spring 2023.
